360° Head to a new Friday brunch this weekend, with 360° Dubai’s rooftop re-opening for the weekend and a brand-new brunch to go with it. 7Elephants This trendy, stock-market-themed DIFC hotspot is back in business following a summer hiatus. So head back to 7 Elephants for a range of fun and games involving the stock exchange screens and app which dictate the prices of drinks based on their popularity. BASE The d3 mega-club re-opened for the post-summer season last weekend, and it’s on good form right now. It’s a slicker operation than its pre-summer self, so head down this weekend for some big tunes courtesy of Sylvain Armand on Thursday night and DJ Cassidy on Friday September 29. Free. Brunswick AFL final With the Aussie rules football league finishing up on Saturday (September 30), head to Brunswick Sports club from 7am for coverage for the Grand Finals, plus drinks and breakfast favourites to tuck into while watching the game. Casa Playa Get ready for the Casa Playa festival, which hits Nasimi Beach on Thursday September 28 and Friday 29, to mark the beginning of a brand-new nightlife season. This one-off festival will see bands playing a set of acoustic live jams creating a chilled-out, boho vibe to ease you through sunset. International acts will play on the main stage, and then a resident DJ will take to the floating pontoon, upping the tempo to see you into the small hours. El Chiringuito This swanky beachside club is running an extra special Nomad event this weekend. Expect some huge African fun and flair at Rixos The Palm Dubai as El Chiringuito kicks back into life for the post-Summer season. It’s promising a huge day and night with brilliant music, and a sensory overload to remember. Consider us officially intrigued. Free. Fri 9am-midnight. Ongoing. Kaynouna Kaynouna, the truly free-spirited music event, recently moved to Tr!beca Kitchen + Bar in JA Ocean View Hotel in JBR, and following a night of Middle Eastern electro vibes in August, is back on Friday September 29. Regional and international artists will be featuring this year, including DJs San Miguel, Batu Ozer and Zone+, all of whom bring chilled, melodic and soulful tunes to the floor. Dhs150. Last night at The Music Room After a solid 12 years of entertaining Dubai’s live music fans and providing a platform to its up-and-coming artists, live music venue The Music Room will close its doors for good on Saturday September 30. The brand was an institution in Dubai. It won Time Out Dubai’s Live Music Venue award four times, most recently this year, for its impressive roster of local and international acts. Led Zeppelin Tribute Act If you’ve never had the chance to witness one of the greatest rock bands in history, and even if you have, we’d totally recommend checking out Hats Off to Led Zeppelin, who are heading to Hard Rock Cafe on Saturday September 30. Expect massive renditions of some of the rock and roll legends’ greatest hits, including Whole Lotta Love, Kashmir, Dazed and Confused, Black Dog, and, obviously, Stairway… The best bit? It’s free. Lock, Stock and Barrel Head to Lock, Stock and Barrel (the original, in Barsha Heights) and catch new house band Gorgeous George hit the stage. They’re rotating with existing resident band 13 Daze, so head over for 11pm on Friday for some head-banging fun. Alternatively, head to LSB at JBR The Walk for the Premier League footie this weekend, with all games now being screened live in the bar from this weekend onwards. Barsha Heights: Daily 4pm-3am. Move Up for a big old party? Head to Move at Casa Latina at the Ibis Al Barsha for a night of big beats for the UAE debut of Ricardo De Meneses, and Dubai-based Canadian-born Lebanese DJ Korek, showcasing some of the finest house music around. Q43 DJ Jonathan Ulysses is making a special appearance at Q43’s Than-Q Part VI on Thursday September 28. Having spent more than a decade as a resident at world-famous Space Ibiza, it’s going to be a huge night of bouncy, high energy house music. Spice & Ice One of the top Indian restaurants in JLT is bringing back it’s Hawaiian-themed brunch this weekend, on Friday September 29.
